Part-Time Enrichment Teacher – Financial Literacy and Youth Development
Location: Millburn, NJ or hybrid
Position Overview: We are seeking passionate and dynamic Part-Time Enrichment Teacher to join our team and deliver engaging financial literacy and leadership development sessions for K-12 students. The ideal candidate will inspire students to understand the importance of financial knowledge, develop real-world skills, and prepare for academic and competitive success. This position is perfect for someone with a background in finance, education, or youth development who wants to make a positive impact on young leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach financial literacy content that covers topics such as economics, finance, management, investing, and tailored for K-12 students.
- Facilitate enrichment sessions to enhance students’ confidence, critical thinking, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Coach and support students preparing for business competitions like BPA, FBLA, and investment challenges, fostering teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
- Create a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore new concepts and ask questions.
- Adapt lesson plans and materials to meet students’ varying needs, grade levels, and learning styles.
- Engage with students’ families to foster a supportive community focused on holistic family well-being.
Qualifications:
- Experience in education, finance, or youth development (teaching certification preferred but not required).
- Passion for financial literacy education and empowering youth.
- Effective communication and people skills to connect with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit a variety of age groups and learning styles.
- Experience with or willingness to learn about business competitions like BPA and FBLA.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to making a lasting impact.
Hours: Flexible hours and scheduling: afternoons, evenings, school off days and or weekends.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
