If your family is already doing Beyond Young classes, you know the real logistics of getting there: school lets out mid-afternoon, and someone โ you, a grandparent, a sitter, a carpool you've been trading favors on all year โ has to be in the pickup line and then drive across town before class starts. Starting this fall, we're taking that step off your plate.
The problem this solves
For families juggling school dismissal, siblings, and a Beyond Young class before dinner, the gap between "school bell" and "center door" has always been the hardest part of the afternoon to plan around โ not the class itself. A late meeting, a carpool partner who's out sick, a sitter stuck in traffic, and a class gets skipped, even though everyone wanted to be there. The bus is built to close exactly that gap: it handles the driving between dismissal and our door, so a Beyond Young afternoon doesn't depend on who's free to drive that day.
How the route works
The route is deliberately simple: one bus, 56 seats, one afternoon run each weekday. The bus leaves your child's school right after dismissal โ around 3:15 PM โ and drives directly to Beyond Young's center on Millburn Avenue. It's one-way only, school to Beyond Young; pickup from our center after class still works the way it does today.
The bus itself is run by STA โ the same school bus vendor Millburn's public school district already uses โ so the driver knows these schools, their dismissal routines, and the town well.
Right now the route covers Millburn's elementary schools:
- Glenwood Elementary
- Deerfield Elementary
- Hartshorn Elementary
- South Mountain Elementary
- Wyoming Elementary
Right now, those five schools are the whole route โ we're not able to add new stops for Fall 2026/27. If your child attends a different school, the sign-up form still has an "Other โ contact us" option so you can let us know you're interested, but we can't promise a new stop this year.
The hand-off, step by step
The whole point of the bus is that you shouldn't have to think about it once it's set up. Here's exactly what happens between registering and your child walking through our door:
Register
Add the bus to your cart โ pick your child's school and days per week โ and check out.
Sign the release form
We send you a release form. Once you sign it, we forward it to your child's school and send the school an updated roster every school day.
We meet your child at school
Our on-site staff is there at dismissal to pick your child up and walk them to the bus.
We ride the whole way
A Beyond Young staff member rides along with your child until they're dropped off with us.
All you need to do is register โ we handle the rest.
Pricing, by the day
You choose how many days a week you need the bus โ it doesn't have to be every school day, and it doesn't have to match every day your child is at Beyond Young. Pricing is a flat annual rate based on the number of days per week:
- 1 day/week โ $440/year
- 2 days/week โ $880/year
- 3 days/week โ $1,300/year
- 4 days/week โ $1,650/year
- 5 days/week โ $2,100/year
It's pay-in-full for the year โ there's no monthly payment plan and no separate registration fee for the bus itself.
How to register
There are two ways to add the bus for Fall 2026/27. Register it on its own through RegFox โ pick your school and your days per week, and pay for the year in one step:
Ready to add the bus? Register your child's stop and days per week for Fall 2026/27.
Register for the bus โOr add it while you're enrolling in classes: on our class catalog at classes-new, under the Bus category, the bus shows up as its own annual add-on, so you can drop it in the cart alongside your child's classes and check out together.
Quick answers
Do the bus days need to match my child's class days? Not exactly โ you're picking a number of days per week that works for your family, not a specific class schedule. Most families line the two up so a Beyond Young class is waiting when the bus arrives, but the bus registration and your class registration are two separate sign-ups.
What if my child's school isn't one of the five listed? Right now we can only cover these five schools โ the route doesn't extend beyond them this year. The sign-up form still has an "Other โ contact us" option if you'd like to flag interest for the future, but we can't guarantee a new stop for Fall 2026/27.
Is there a morning bus too? Not yet โ this is one afternoon run, one-way, from school to Beyond Young. Morning drop-off at school is still on the family's side.
